We took a trip to Costco. We didn't go crazy, but we did get some much needed things for ALOT cheaper than we could have here in Longview. Definitely worth it!

Ryan and Cole on Valentine's day. It was Cole's first and we were down in Portland. We came back to Longview for our Primary activity and then had a yummy dinner and snuggled together at Tommy and Nicole's house. Josh was in Kansas, so we talked to him on the phone and wished him a Happy Valentine's Day!

Because I had taken pictures of Cole in the bath the day before, Ryan was insisting that I take a picture of him before he got in the shower. This picture cracks me up because he is saying "CHEESE", and he looks like E.T.!

I look gross, but kindly ignore that! :-) I told Jenn on the phone that I had gotten lots of comments on my Property of Jonathan Knight, NKOTB shirt. Well we found out we were wearing the exact same outfit...without even planning it!!! NEW KIDS FRIDAY!! WOOT!

January 29th

We celebrated Chinese New Year today...yes I know it's three days late, but I got my dates mixed up and hey, Ryan's six, he doesn't care! Anyway, Ryan has been begging for Chinese dumplings ever since he saw Kung Fu Panda. So I found an easy recipe online and made some Chicken Chinese Dumplings. They turned out really good and Ryan loved them! We are going to experiment again with different fillings, but I have to say that it was a success!!!

Okay, the first picture is just for size reference. Today, Cole fell asleep in his bouncy (which he hasn't done in FOREVER) and I couldn't help but notice how much bigger he is than when we first got it! My goodness how my baby has grown!!

Oh you Orange Crush of my youth! You can't possibly imagine the shock and complete euphoria I experienced when I saw my beloved Orange and Grape Crush...in glass bottles no less being sold at Walmart. Happiness is childhood memories!

I love buying baby food! Seriously, I think it's a sickness...I might need a 12 step program! This is only about half the baby food we have in the house. It's just too much fun to buy!!! And I love planning Cole's little meals...I know...I have issues.

January 24th

This is the clock that hangs promiently over our fireplace. It's currently 10:09pm and this clock reads 6:30. The battery is almost dead so it takes the clock about two days to move five mins. I noticed it was moving slow at Christmas, I have the needed batteries in my posession, how much longer do you think it will be before I actually change the battery?

My sweet friend Amber watched the boys tonight while I was at school and Josh had to work late. She gave Cole his first hair cut and tonight gave him another MUCH needed hair cut. Now he looks like a little man...SO grown up! This isn't the best picture, but it shows how short and LIGHT his hair is now.

Does a picture of a picture count? I have this sitting next to the computer monitor. Ryan found it during the move and brought it to me. :-) He was so small and rolly polly! And look at those ears! LOL! I love my boys so much. I'm so lucky!

My silly boys. Ryan wanted so badly to "rock the baby". So he was trying to rock Cole and he was all squirmy and silly. Needless to say it didn't last too long. :-)

I made this cake for one of my co-workers for his birthday. It's a milk chocolate cake, milk chocolate frosting and milk chocolate ganache. He asked for a triple chocolate cake...I think I covered it. :-)

I found Motivated Moms today. It's a weekly calendar and each day you have designated chores to do. It helps you keep your house clean without it being a totally overwhelming thing! So far I really like it. Let's see if I can keep up with it all year long! :-)

EPIC FAIL!

Through a series of unfortunate events I murdered our Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo dinner. It started with one wrong ingredient that made me have to switch recipes which turned into more wrong ingredients that weren't realized until much later which turned into me dumping 3/4 of the noodles down the sink which ended with me kicking the cupboard so hard that my foot has been swollen for three days. Needless to say, we ate McDonald's for dinner.

Okay, so here is Cole's front teeth. We lovingly call them his Goof Troop teeth, cause...well, they kind of look like Goofy's front teeth! :-) Sorry for the blurry picture...but it's HARD getting pictures of teeth! :-)

Here is Ryan sleeping. He has a froggie hooded towel that he got from Grandma Nettie. He LOVES it and decided he would sleep in it. I love his little red lips and rosy cheeks!

Ryan and Cole were playing in the bath tonight. Ryan wanted them to have 'horns'. :-) Cole looks like he isn't too sure about what's going on...Ryan is in the middle of tell Cole to LOOK. :-)

Grandma Jill sent the boys a dvd set that has 180 old school, AWESOME cartoons! So Josh and I were getting stuff done and Ryan picked up Cole and sat with him and watched cartoons and played with toys. They are so sweet together!!

January 3rd

So here is my "baby" starting to climb the stairs. Today he decided that he was big enough (at seven months old, mind you) to climb up the stairs. He's a quick little boy and we still haven't figured out how to make the baby gate work with the stairs that we have. I'm thinking a big, fluffy mat should take up residence at the bottom or our stairs just in case.
